Stallone starred in First Blood (1982) together with Richard Crenna & Brian Dennehy. The film, which shocked audiences by its controversial commentary about the Vietnam war that was relatively fresh in American mental spheres, proved to be a huge achievement. Riding a wave of amazing success, Stallone called on old rival Rocky Balboa to climb back in the ring and defend American proudness against an ominous Soviet danger in the form of a towering Russian boxer dubbed "Ivan Drago" which was played by curly Dolph Lundgren. Rocky IV (1985). The violence levels in this fourth installment being exaggerated, it was a controversy to "Rocky" admirers.
